“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
~ Psalm 46:1

Dear Ones in Christ,

The Lord has been gracious in allowing my son Dayan and I to make another ministry trip to India. We are grateful to each one of our beloved prayer partners for your fervent prayers and financial support for the cause of Christ. The Lord brought Dayan safely back to the U.S. on January 20th, and I returned on March 4th. I thank the Lord for His mighty protection and for empowering us to preach and teach the Gospel. I also had the joy of baptizing a few new believers while I was there.

How thankful we are for the hundreds of Bible College students and Leadership Training Institute graduates who have returned to their villages to win souls and establish home Bible studies and churches. Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude as we think of the many people who have accepted Christ over the years! We know there is joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents and gets saved.

Please remember to pray for our current Bible College students who have left on a three-month mission trip to the north and northeastern states of India, as they share the message of the Gospel. Pray for their safety and that they will have an effective ministry.

By God’s grace, the children in our Children’s Home are keeping well and happy in the Lord. Their singing and praising the Lord is always a joy and inspiration to my heart.

Yet I know we are living in a very troubled world. Government leaders are frustrated, and people are fearful as they see sickness and chaos erupting all over the world. Luke 21:28 reminds us, “When you see these things take place, lift up your heads, for your redemption is drawing near.” We are told in the scripture that troublesome times will come in the last days, but we as God’s children should carry on, not panic, and be diligent in the work of our Lord. He is in control!

As we see the world today in great turmoil, we must be fervent in prayer and faithfully serve the Lord. Our ministry in Kerala continues to train nationals. Our pastors and evangelists in different states of India continue to witness to those who don’t know the Lord. There are people all over the world hungry for the Word of God and the peace He provides. He is the Great Physician, and He has promised to heal the broken hearted and set the captives free (Luke 4:18). As of now, the number of diagnosed cases in India is low, but let us pray for all the nations affected by the pandemic.

And let us rejoice that God is still on the throne, and He will remember His own. May His peace, power, and protection be with you all. We love you very much and uphold you in our prayers.

Yours in His Service,

G.V. Mathai
